Controlled Android closed beta

Help test AcreTrace in the field.

We are looking for a small group of adult Android users who can test real workflows safely, remain enrolled for the full test period and give honest feedback before public release.

How it works

Private access. Real testing. Clear feedback.

01

Volunteer

Email a few details about your Android phone and how you would use AcreTrace. Places are limited and an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance.

02

Join through Google Play

If accepted, you receive a private closed-test opt-in link and an individual one-time promotion code for the paid test release.

03

Test for 14 days

Install using the approved Google account, remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days and try the practical field workflows.

04

Send useful feedback

Tell us what worked, what was confusing and what failed. Device details, clear steps and safe screenshots are especially helpful.

Who can take part

What you will need

  • Be aged 18 or over.
  • Use a non-rooted Android phone running Android 12 or newer.
  • Have a Google or Google Workspace account signed in on that phone.
  • Have safe, lawful access to an outdoor area with a clear view of the sky.
  • Remain opted in for at least 14 consecutive days.
  • Be willing to report both good outcomes and problems.

What to try

A practical field test, not just an installation.

Measurement

Known distances, travelled routes and safely accessible field boundaries.

Field records

Holdings, field names, exclusions, markers, notes and optional photographs.

Outputs

PDF reports, KML mapping exports and combined holding exports.

Resilience

Offline use, backup and restore, and recovery after leaving a workflow.

Tester information pack

Read the full process before you apply.

The pack covers installation, safe testing, the practical checklist, privacy and a copy-and-paste feedback template.
